Amelia Zhou is a writer and PhD candidate in English at the University of Cambridge. Her PhD project examines how photography and its tropes shape ideas of self-representation in contemporary autofiction. She previously gained an MA in Creative Practice, an Honours in Cultural Studies, and a BA in Communication. Her work as a writer is often interdisciplinary and hybrid in form and media, and has appeared most recently in Fence, Liminal, and Orleans House Gallery. Her book Repose, which weaves together poems, fiction, and lyric essay, was awarded the 2022 Wendy’s Subway Book Prize and will be published in late 2024.
