Miriam Schwarz studied political science and history of South Asia at Heidelberg University and deepened her knowledge of discourse analysis during stays at the universities of Oslo and Essex. In her Magister thesis, she analysed how the Rajapaksa regime defended its governance practices in light of a liberal critique articulated by ‘the West’ in the last phase of the Eelam War. Miriam is research associate at the Centre for Social Investment and doctoral student at the Heidelberg Graduate School for Humanities and Social Sciences.
