Elaine Gan is a lecturer/PhD student in Film & Digital Media at University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC). She is also a fellow of the Science & Justice Research Center and a member of the advisory committee for Interdisciplinary Arts at New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). She studied critical art practice at the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program and holds an MFA in Digital Arts (UCSC) and a BA in Architecture (Wellesley College). Her research proposes an interdisciplinary methodology for visualizing multispecies temporalities as a means of opening up new modes of ethico-political engagement across incommensurabilities.
