Almuth Lahmann was born in 1964, Germany. Apprenticeship in joinery, followed by traditional travelling in several European countries. 1996, taking up a teaching post for young joiners in Zürich/CH. 2001, after two years distant learning with the Open University (UK), studies in religious studies (major), ethics and Islamic studies in Fribourg and Berne/CH; Visiting student at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Graduated (lic.phil.) in 2009. From 2006-2011, conduct of a furniture workshop in Berne. Since December 2011, doctoral student in Islamic Studies at the University of Berne.
