Arthur Bueno has a PhD in Sociology from the University of Sao Paulo (2014) and was a visiting researcher at the Goethe-University Frankfurt from 2012 to 2014. His main publications are an anthology in Portuguese of Georg Simmel’s essays on money and modern life (O conflito da cultura moderna e outros escritos, 2013) and an article on individuals who consider themselves compulsive buyers and/or debtors (‘Die Leidenschaften des Homo oeconomicus,’ Berliner Journal für Soziologie, forthcoming).
