Cypri Jehan Paju Dale studied Human Rights and Development Studies at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), Erasmus University, the Netherlands, with a research focus on Self-Determination Struggles and Social Movements in West Papua, Indonesia. He is currently working at the Institute of Social Anthropology, Bern University, on a  PhD research project of Churches and Sustainable Development in Indonesia. His research and activism interests include de-colonial epistemologies, social emancipatory struggles, critical development studies, and anthropology of religions and development.
