Alexander Paulsson is a Post-doc at Lund University and is currently studying animals and work during the time of early industrialization. In his PhD dissertation, which he successfully defended in Lund in March 2014, he studied the nexus of bureaucracy and gifts by drawing on the works of Weber and Mauss. Being educated in history (M.A.), political science (M.P) and business studies (M.Sc.), his work is interdisciplinary, drawing upon a variety of different theoretical approaches, ranging from critical theory to economic anthropology.
