Josh Pearson is a doctoral candidate in English at the University of California, Riverside.  He holds an interdisciplinary BA form the University of Iowa and an MA in English from Kansas State University.  His research areas include Marxist and Gender Theory, Science Fiction and Fantasy Studies, and Postmodern Literature.  Josh’s dissertation examines how the shift toward postindustrial finance capitalism influenced representations of heroism and revolutionary agency in 20th century American popular culture.
