Julia Schärer

Julia Schärer was born in Zurich in 1980. She studied philosophy and Modern German literature at the Universities of Zurich and Fribourg and graduated in 2008 with an MA thesis on failing to notice as an argument in a debate on the content of perception.

Since 2010 she has been a scientific collaborator and PhD student of the interdisciplinary SNSF research project Nonpropositionality and the Content of Art at Bern University of the Arts and University of Fribourg.

Her PhD thesis in philosophy focuses on cognitivist theories of artworks and on conceptions of their content.

Julia Schärer is a participant of the Winter School 2012.
