Salvatore Melidoro is currently a PhD student at the Institute of Musicology of the University of Bern (Switzerland), within the SNF project The Emergence of 20th Century “Musical Experience”. He graduated in Musicology at the University of Milano (MA 2015), with a thesis about the vocal performer Demetrio Stratos. He studied Humanities at the University of Parma (BA 2012) with a thesis about The Threepenny Opera by Bertold Brecht. He also studied Sound Design, Music Therapy and oboe. His research focus includes Music Technology, Media Archaeology, Music Anthropology, Performance Studies, Vocal Technique, Music and Politics.
