Ayse Turcan studied history and Slavic studies at the University of Bern. Since March 2016, she works as a research assistant in Modern General and Eastern European History at the University of Bern. Besides the history of the Swiss labour movement, she is interested in the dynamics of border movements in the Carpathian Mountain region. The latter also forms the general topic of the research project she is framing at the moment.
