Valeria Lucentini is a PhD student at the University of Berne where she is working at the SNF-project “Discourse on Music in 18th- and 19th-century Travel Writing and the Formation of Italian National Character”. She obtained her Master degree in Musicology at the University of Berne in 2015 and she has been Research Assistant to Prof. A. Gerhard, in a project concerning new aspects of Verdian mythography. She has received a fellowship by the Forschungszentrum Gotha der Universität Erfurt. Her main interests are Music and Travel Culture, Music and Politics, Music and Literature, Music and Transnationalism.
