Olivia Biber is a PhD candidate and assistant at the Department of English at the University of Bern, Switzerland. Her PhD project is titled “Encountering Female Figures: The Domestic, the Economic and the Material in the Victorian Novel” in which she investigates female characters’ capacities to move in, through, and across these three spheres. Her research interests include Victorian literature and culture, gender studies, economic humanities, affect and new materialism.
