Virginia Holzer studied Spanish Linguistics/ Literature and Latin American Studies, and completed a Master of Arts at the University of Bern where she is an associated doctoral student. Since September 2020, she is a PhD student of Romance Studies at the University of Zurich. Her dissertation, titled “Narratives of Violence Against Women: Wasted Bodies and (Un)grievable Lives in the Contemporary Literature in Peru and Argentina”, sits at the intersection of Literature, History and Cultural Studies. She is currently assistant and teaching fellow for the Department of Hispanic American Literature at the University of Zurich.
