Saskia C. Quené studied Art History, Musicology, and Philosophy at the Humboldt University in Berlin and pursued her PhD at the University of Basel and the Max Planck Institut für Kunstgeschichte (KHI) in Florence before becoming a research assistant at the University of Bern in 2018. In September 2020, she completed her dissertation entitled Goldgrund und Perspektive. Fra Angelico im Glanz des Quattrocento. Her second book project investigates visualizations of acoustic phenomena in medieval manuscripts and diagrams between the 8th and the 12th centuries.
