Bitten Stetter is a fashion designer and develops trend forecasts and exhibition concepts for the creative industry. Since 2003 she has different university teaching positions in Germany and Switzerland. She has a professorship in Design, is head of the Master Design and leads the division Research and Investigation in the field of study Trends & Identity at Zurich University of the Arts. Since 2015 she develops the research focus Care Futures and investigates Futures of Death and Dying. In her dissertation “Things of Dying” investigates with design-ethnographical methods the material culture of end-of-life-spaces. Furthermore, she is research associate (HKB Bern) in the interdisciplinary project Settings of Dying (2020-2023) funded by the Swiss National Fonds.
