Jonathan Sarfin studied English Literature at the University of Kentucky (BA 2016) and the University of Bern (MA 2021). He is a PhD candidate in the SNF Sinergia project Mediating the Ecological Imperative: Formats and Modes of Engagement, in the sub-project Ecological Imaginaries: Eco- Ekphrasis in Twentieth- and Twenty-first Century North American Fiction.Research interests:Eco-aesthetics, description, 20th and 21st century North American fiction, intermediality, ekphrasis, the more-than human, relationality, ecological ethics.
