Eric Dean Wilson is the author of After Cooling: On Freon, Global Warming, and the Terrible Cost of Comfort (Simon & Schuster, 2021), a book-length essay on air conditioning. His work has appeared in TIME, Esquire, and The Baffler. He is a PhD candidate in English at The Graduate Center, CUNY, where his work focuses on the environmental humanities, personal essays, and queer theory. He teaches climate-themed writing to undergraduates in New York. Originally from Memphis, TN, he now lives in Brooklyn, NY.
