Yamila Pita is a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Bern. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires and a Master’s degree in Political Science and Gender Studies from the University of Bern. Her doctoral research explores the intersections of disability and gender, focusing on the lived experiences of women with disability in Nepal. She currently works at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies at the University of Bern and is actively involved in research projects aimed at promoting gender equality and social justice in the Global South.
